This property near Lake DuBay in Mosinee had a solid build already going - a sharp-looking barndominium taking shape with outbuildings on site. But the surrounding land was a different story. Dense brush, overgrown scrub, downed logs, and tangled undergrowth were eating up usable space and blocking clean access to the site. That kind of mess doesn't just look bad - it makes everything harder for crews trying to work the property.
That's where forestry mulching comes in. We ran our Bobcat T770 with a Diamond mulching head through the overgrown areas and turned all of that brush and debris into a clean layer of mulch right on the ground. No hauling, no burn piles, no mess left behind. The machine grinds everything down - small trees, thick brush, stumps - and leaves a flat, workable surface in a single pass.
What you end up with is exactly what this owner needed. Wide open ground around the barndominium, clear access corridors connecting the structures, and usable space that was completely buried before. The gravel yard area ties in cleanly with the freshly mulched ground, giving the whole property a consistent, finished look even while construction is still underway.
Forestry mulching is one of the most efficient ways to get a wooded or overgrown lot build-ready. It doesn't disturb the soil the way traditional clearing does, and because the mulched material stays on site, it actually helps hold moisture and prevent erosion while the ground settles. For a property like this one - wooded, tight on access, and mid-build - it was the right call from the start.
