This Lake DuBay lot needed a clean, accessible entrance before anything else could happen on the property. The tree line came right up to the road, stumps were in the way, and there was no defined path in. That's a common starting point for wooded lots in this part of Wisconsin - and it's exactly the kind of work we do every day.

We brought in the excavator with a grapple attachment to clear brush, pull stumps, and open up the entrance. You can see what we were dealing with - root systems pulled clean out of the ground, scraggly undergrowth cut back, and the tree line pushed out to give the driveway corridor the room it needed. The skid steer worked alongside the excavator to move material and clean up the corridor as we went.

Once the clearing was done, we moved into gravel driveway prep. The lane was graded out, shaped with clean edges on both sides, and gravel was brought in and spread to give the entrance a solid, stable surface. The Bobcat T770 made quick work of spreading and finishing the material. What you end up with is a driveway that looks intentional - not just a dirt path through the trees.

A proper entrance does more than look good. It gives vehicles a reliable way in and out, sets the boundary for the property, and lays the groundwork for whatever comes next - whether that's a build, a cabin, or just better access to a piece of land you want to actually use. Getting the site work right from the start saves a lot of headaches later.
