A heavy snowstorm came through and did what heavy snowstorms do - it crushed a metal boat shelter right down onto a customer's pontoon at Lake DuBay. Not exactly the kind of surprise anyone wants. The structure had buckled under the weight, and the boat was essentially trapped underneath collapsed metal framing.
This is exactly the kind of job where having the right equipment makes all the difference. We brought our Bobcat T770 track loader out to the property and got to work carefully lifting and moving the collapsed shelter pieces away from the boat. The tracked machine gave us the stability and control we needed to work around the pontoon without causing any additional damage.
What made this one tricky was the precision required. You're working with a collapsed metal structure that's sitting on top of someone's boat - a boat they obviously want to keep in one piece. The forks on the Bobcat let us get under the debris and work it free section by section. Slow, deliberate work. No rushing it.
Once the shelter was cleared, the pontoon came out without a scratch. We got it onto the trailer and the customer drove off with their boat safe and sound. That's the kind of outcome that makes a job feel good. Storm damage is stressful enough - the recovery doesn't have to be.
We handle a lot more than land clearing and outdoor maintenance. When something unexpected happens on your property and you're not sure who to call, that's where we come in. If there's a problem that needs equipment and a crew willing to figure it out, we're up for it.
