River frontage has a way of collecting years worth of debris - fallen timber, tangled brush, dead wood piled up along the bank. Left alone, it becomes a mess that gets harder to deal with every season. That's exactly what we were working with on this Wisconsin River property in Mosinee.

We brought in our Bobcat excavator with a grapple attachment to sort through the heavier log debris and get it staged for removal. The grapple makes a big difference on jobs like this - it lets us grab and sort material precisely without tearing up the bank or damaging trees worth keeping. A trailer full of branches and brush hauled off the site tells you how much material had built up along that shoreline.

The forestry mulching side of the work handled the thinner brush and undergrowth right down to the ground level. Where there was dense vegetation choking the bank, we were able to cut it back and mulch it in place - leaving the slope cleaner and more stable without hauling every last scrap off site. It's an efficient approach that works really well in these tight waterfront situations where you need to be careful about soil disturbance near the water.

The end result is a shoreline that's actually accessible again. The property has a clear view of the river, the bank is cleaned up, and it's going to be far easier to maintain going forward. That's the goal on jobs like this - not just clean for today, but set up in a way that doesn't become a problem again in two years.

Waterfront properties along the Wisconsin River take a beating over time, and debris cleanup is one of those things that's easy to put off until it becomes a real project. If your riverfront or lakeshore property has gotten out of hand, we know how to handle it the right way.
